If you’re happy operating a digger yourself, self-drive hire gives you the machine on site for as long as the job takes, working to your own schedule. We supply micro and mini diggers to builders, contractors, landscapers and homeowners.
We deliver on our own trailer and collect when you’re finished. Hire by the day, the week or longer. Every machine is regularly serviced and safety checked, and a hydraulic breaker is available.

Kubota K008-5 micro digger
Just 700mm wide, so it fits through most side gates and doorways. Ideal for back gardens, small trenches, landscaping and tight access.
Kubota U17-5 mini digger
More dig depth and reach for footings, drainage runs, service trenches and garden clearance.
Kubota U27-4 3 ton digger

Do I need a licence to drive a mini digger?
You don't need a driving licence to use a digger on private land, but you must be able to use it safely. Many commercial sites ask for a CPCS or NPORS card. If you're unsure, hire it with one of our drivers instead.
Do you deliver self-drive diggers to your area?
Yes. We deliver and collect on our own plant trailers.
Which digger should I hire?
It depends on your access and the depth you need. A micro digger fits most side gates, and our 3 ton Kubota U27-4 suits bigger digs. Call us and we'll recommend one.
Can I hire for a week?
Yes. We hire by the day, the week or longer.
Is a breaker available?
